We Are…

Disney Cruise Line Revenue Management is responsible for fleet-wide pricing, revenue planning, and inventory control.  
The Sr. Manager – Revenue Management is the resident expert and representative for the local Revenue Management team.  They have a wide range of responsibilities related to the price each guest pays to sail, including dynamic pricing, yield management, revenue planning, and inventory control.  They also have responsibility for integrating the ship specific revenue strategy with that of the fleet, communicating performance to senior leadership, and leading the local Revenue Management team.  This includes two Cast Members with varied responsibilities including implementing inventory control strategies, processing requests for Cast and vendors to sail on business, onboard pricing strategy, and ship specific reporting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement yield management and stateroom inventory strategies 
  • Increase prices for select sailings and stateroom categories based on demand
  • Uncover trends and actionable insights from Tableau visualizations and advanced analytical tools within the Revenue Management System to justify pricing decisions at the sailing, stateroom category, or passenger level
  • Develop opening pricing and promotional offer strategies to drive demand and conversion utilizing detailed analysis of booking trends and competitive intelligence
  • Assemble presentations for VP/SVP levels, including opening pricing for inventory releases several times per year
  • Partner with the Contact Center, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to ensure support of revenue initiatives while prioritizing the guest experience
  • Lead two Cast Members with varying responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Executing inventory control strategies in Disney Cruise Line’s reservation system, including overselling and upgrading, opening and managing promotional offers, and blocking rooms for maintenance
  • Monitoring exception reporting to ensure policies are being followed
  • Collaborating with the Sr. Manager to generate group quotes for Sales team
  • Partnering with various departments to problem solve reservation challenges and apply Guest Communications voucher to reservations 
  • Analyzing onboard spend to make pricing, product, and inventory recommendations 
  • Partnering with multiple departments to conceptualize new shipboard product offerings by providing data backed insights, potential financial impacts, and pricing recommendations 
  • Tracking and reporting onboard activity bookings to provide insights into the business and recommendations to improve utilization and take rates
  • Managing the request and fulfillment process for working Cast Members and vendors to sail
  • Producing local reporting including developing and maintaining tracking for key metrics by market

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant leadership and analytical experience
  • Ability to simplify complex analytics into recommendations that are easily understood and executable
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with revenue management and yield management concepts
  • Proficiency in acquiring, organizing, and cleansing data, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Stand Out:

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field; MBA or equivalent
  • Revenue Management or other analytical experience at a cruise line
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Demonstrated data analytics skills with proficiency in associated database applications (e.g., SAS, Teradata, SQL and Tableau) and the ability to write complex queries
