Senior Structural Engineer (3-year contract)

Responsibilities:

• Collect the design requirements from the end-users, prepare the scopes of work and engineering design which has incorporated the requirements, work with maintenance team to determine the design/ inspection can be maintained at minimal cost. In addition, the design should comply with HKDL standards and coordinate with in-house Architects and Engineers in order to comply with statutory requirement and migrate with existing facility infrastructures.
• Manage of engineer design and produce the effective structural design (including calculation drawings and document) as a full package for tender use.  The Engineering design should collaborate with the project lead and ensure the design complies with design brief and Disney standards, keep proper documentation records in the design database.
• Review design material such as design calculation, shop drawings, construction materials and method statements during the construction period in order to ensure a safe construction activities are carried out on site, maintaining an accident free environment for the contractors.
• Take lead in establishing and maintaining a good partnership / collaboration with consultants and contractors by regular meetings or other means and keep updated with the latest technical development in the profession.
• Conduct regular site inspection to monitor the workmanship, progress, material used and sequences and ensure they are in accordance to design requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or related disciplines.
• Member of HKIE or other equivalent professional bodies.
• At least 5 years relevant experiences in the management of site planning and statutory submission to Buildings Department and relevant authorities; or in the design and site supervision.
• Knowledge of BIM is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to work with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and liaison skills.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, AutoCAD & perspective drawing.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and BIM would be a definite advantage.
