An opportunity has become available for a Senior Analyst to join our Disney + Analytics & Insights EMEA team!

Working within the Content Analytics team, this role you will be focused on delivering timely insights to guide initiatives across Disney+ EMEA, utilising our vast data to discover opportunities to optimise our content proposition to best meet the needs of our customers. The Senior Analyst will develop a deep knowledge of what best resonates with our customers, and with their storytelling expertise, they willl collaborate with key business partners to bring those insights to life.

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer video entertainment service targeted to families. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star) with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms.

The Disney+ team in EMEA coordinates for the roll-out and ongoing performance and operations of Disney+ across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, specifically focused on marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, content programming, research and analytics.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver timely analysis and insight to support the Content Programming, Marketing and Product teams in EMEA in order to gain a deep understanding of content performance. This will be achieved through proactive identification of opportunities and applying the right tools and techniques for each piece of analysis.

  • Utilise diverse analytics methodologies and models to understand user behaviour and content performance.

  • Present clear results with insights, related implications and actions to a variety of internal partners.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to monitor metrics and provide regular updates on content performance to partners.

  • Support training of teams to embrace self-serve and interpret data insights, encouraging a data-led decision making mentality.

  • Be proactive in spotting opportunities to improve processes and crafting new ones, acknowledging opportunities when automatable scalable solutions are required and when one off analytics is best placed.

  • Develop relationships across the Analytics and business teams at regional and local level, in particular the Programming team, as well as with Analytics teams internationally to align on key priorities and targets.

  • Closely manage requests coming through, collaborating with partners to deliver analysis in a timely, impactful manner.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Comprehensive experience in analytical insights.

  • Extensive experience using SQL is essential.

  • Proven analytical mindset, with the ability to QA others’ work and ensure consistent and robust work is delivered, being able to draw on the wide range of analytical tools and types of insight available.

  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard development e.g. Looker or Tableau.

  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field including Marketing, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Social Science graduate degree -preferred.

  • Background in Content, Marketing or Product Analytics in the digital or entertainment space is a plus.

  • Python/R or other statistical programming language experience a plus.
