Controls Support Engineer, Systems Security (2 yrs contract)

This position is for a Cybersecurity Technical Specialist who is proficient in technical skills as detailed below. The primary tasks of this position will be to support, design, architect, and implement physical and virtual server solutions in Disneyland’s existing and incoming attractions control systems. 

Work within Scientific Systems team at the HK Disneyland Resort (HKDL) to:

• Manage the existing fleet of physical and virtual servers for the Scientific Systems, Facility Services.

• Leverage industry knowledge for the integration of best practices in doing so.

• Maintain cybersecurity compliance through management of software and firmware patches and upgrades in the environment.

• Manage the HKDL VCenter and the membership of all the ESXi hosts within.

• Maintain the list of assets in an effort to ensure warranty and support coverage as well as to provide data for forecasting lifespan and obsolescence.

• As cybersecurity is integrated into legacy attractions, in-berm servers host local software tools for logging, scanning, monitoring, and intrusion detection.  This role includes installation of this host in each attraction.

• Work with the Disney network teams for switch/vlan/subnet configuration for server uplinks.

• Maintain the PRTG monitoring tool with configured sensors to detect server health and status.

• Maintain the Active Directory infrastructure for the HKDL attractions environment.

Requirement:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information, Cybersecurity, related Software or Electrical Engineering field or equivalent work experience   

• 2 years in a technical role in support of designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers both physical and virtual.

• Practical experience with:

  • VMware

  • Microsoft Active Directory

  • PRTG / Solarwinds

  • Out of band server mgmt interfaces (ilo, idrac).

  • Industrial Control environments (Equipment rooms)

• Ability to work individually with minimal supervision and as an integral part of a team.

• Proficient in all forms of communication—especially when conveying technical details to a non-technical audience

• Ability to efficiently resolve server issues with varying degrees of complexity

• Strong knowledge of network architectures, protocols, and technologies.

• Knowledgeable in server security best practices, and implementation of documentation.

• Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings including occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Prior experience in an entertainment venue or attractions/theme park industry

• Prior experience or a strong understanding of how to integrate server hardware within an OT/ICS environment

• Understanding of industrial control systems, networks, and protocols
