Context:
This role is pivotal in driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and subscriber/viewership growth. This position involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to both traditional television broadcasting and our digital streaming platform. This role involves developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns encompassing Above-The-Line (ATL) and Below-The-Line (BTL) activities, on-ground activations, and new product launches. This multifaceted role involves strategic planning, audience engagement, brand management, and performance analysis to drive subscriber/viewer acquisition, enhance brand visibility, and foster innovation in a competitive and rapidly evolving entertainment landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing marketing strategies that are tailored to the Telugu-speaking audience and the local market.

  • Identifying popular cultural and social trends among the audience and incorporating them into marketing campaigns.

  • Collaborating with the programming team to identify marketable content and create marketing plans for new shows and series.

  • Identifying target audience segments and developing campaigns that resonate with them.

  • Creating and managing budgets for campaigns and ensuring that campaigns are cost-effective.

  • Working closely with media buying agencies to secure advertising rates and placements in local Telugu media outlets.

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and making adjustments as necessary to achieve maximum impact.

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and techniques in the market, and adapting strategies accordingly.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with content creators, distribution partners, advertisers, and other stakeholders to leverage synergies and drive mutual growth

  • Manage the Marketing team members and providing guidance and support as necessary.

Performance Measures:

  • Increase in Telugu Business’ audience reach and ratings.

  • Increase in brand awareness and recognition among the Telugu-speaking audience.

  • Increase in engagement and interaction on social media platforms and other digital channels.

  • Positive feedback and reviews from viewers and stakeholders.

  • Successful execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives within budget and timeline.

  • Effective management and leadership of the marketing team.

  • Consistent monitoring and analysis of market trends and competition.

  • Development and implementation of new marketing strategies and techniques to reach and engage the target audience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualification: MBA or Postgraduate with 10-13 years’ work experience in a related role.
