Job Summary:

Leads and deliver core platforms, capabilities and core services to Disney Parks, Entertainment and Products (DPEP) Tech & Digital.  Platforms and capabilities include web and mobile app enablement as well as core services such as messaging, profile, content, gaming, AR/VR development, and guest insights to deliver cutting-edge guest and cast experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver core platforms and capabilities to support current and next generation digital experience

• Define and deliver core services such as messaging, personalization, chatbot and profiles

• Define and deliver new experience with Virtual and Augment Reality experience, gaming and digital assistance

• Define and deliver next generation Omnichannel (Mobile app & Web) experience

• Deliver web experience to DPEP businesses

• Provide software release management and product support

• Provide leadership on next generation guest experience design thinking and architecture approach

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in the software engineering and development working with NodeJS, Java, Python

• 15+ years of experience working with RDBMS, non-SQL DB, message streaming, & IoT computing

• 15+ years of working in an Agile product development environment

• 10+ years of experience with cloud computing in AWS, Azure & GCP  

• 10+ years experience with iOS and Android app development

• 5+ years experience creating mobile games or VR/AR content using Unity or Unreal

• Experience managing and motiving teams; demonstrated past history of building cohesive and high performing teams of 20+ including managers

Preferred Education:

• Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in the field of Technology/Computer Science

The hiring range for this position in California is $292,330 to $392,150 per year and in Washington is $292,330 to $392,150 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
