Technology Operations is centered on three core functions Business Relationship Management, Global Program Management and Business Operations to support the DTCI technology organization. This position is part of the Global Program Management team which manages the execution of DTCI Technology programs, including scope, delivery schedules and budgets in addition to identifying dependencies, managing risks and quantifying business impact. This role collaborates with product, engineering and business stakeholders to understand and rationalize strategic roadmaps while providing easy to understand, transparent reporting to leadership during delivery.

Within the Technology Operations organization the Program Manager for Advertising Platforms is responsible for managing small through large-scale, complex projects in the Advertising Platforms area from initiation through closure. These initiatives involve daily hands on management of technology activities utilizing Agile and Scrum based software development practices; and includes working cross-functionally with multiple technical teams to effectively deliver business solutions. This role requires a wide range of leadership competencies, technical (PM) experience, and communications skills. The Program Manager is responsible for managing projects using DTCI processes, tools and methodologies; this includes the development of the scope of work and the management of time, work-breakdown, cost, risk, and communications.


  • Accountable for driving execution and delivery of multiple high-profile technical, product or software development projects from start to finish in the Advertising Platforms domain.
  • Plan, coordinate and direct all activities associated with creating and maintaining project plans, communication plans, risks/issues, etc. leveraging best practices defined by the Performance & Operations team.
  • Leverage experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies to lead project teams to the successful delivery of software development projects.
  • Lead Delivery Teams through the identification and management of risks and the resolution of issues, and escalating to management as appropriate.
  • Accountable for delivering ‘quality’ solutions that provide desired business benefits and/or solve business problems - ‘on-time’ & within budget.
  • Able to quickly solve complex problems in a challenging, dynamic environment with minimal direction.
  • Provide frequent and transparent communication to the business and technical senior management, delivery teams and stakeholders regarding iniative health, issues and risks
  • Effectively communicates complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Executives.
  • Interacts with internal and external peers, initiative stakeholders, and managers to exchange complex information related to Advertising Platforms.
  • Ability to influence key decision-makers / stakeholders towards new business processes and technical solutions that best serve DTCI & the Walt Disney company.
  • Facilitator – must be able to:
    • Facilitate meetings/workshops with groups of people beyond the immediate delivery team
    • Facilitate the project team through the resolution of complex issues
    • Drive workshop/meeting to conclusion and/or actionable outcome
    • Develop and deliver outcomes/results/notes in a manor appropriate to the level of the group


  • Typically has 5 or more years of progressively complex related experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle; experience in advertising systems, linear broadcast systems, and streaming media software preferred
  • Expertise with project management tools used in business/project area
  • Expertise in Agile and Scaled-Agile Management methods and processes


  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required
